Tech Gender Balance Toolkit
This is a comprehensive collection of policies, guides and templates, all written in plain, simple language and fully customisable. You can either put your logo on the documents you need and use as-is, or simply take the content you need to help guide your work or act as templates for your own resources.
Many of the guides can be easily transformed into training workshops or coaching sessions.

Marie Hicks explores the story of labour feminisation and gendered technocracy that undercut British efforts to computerise. That failure sprang from the government's systematic neglect of its largest trained technical workforce simply because they were women. Women were a hidden engine of growth in high technology from World War II to the 1960s.
In this fascinating and empowering book, King outlines the invisible barriers that hold women back at all stages of their careers, and provides readers with a clear set of takeaways to thrive despite the sexist workplace, as they fight for change from within. Gender equality is not about women, or about men - it is about making workplaces work for everyone. Together, we can fix work, not women.
From government policy and medical research, to technology, workplaces, and the media. Invisible Women reveals how in a world built for and by men we are systematically ignoring half of the population, often with disastrous consequences. Caroline Criado Perez brings together for the first time an impressive range of case studies, stories and new research from across the world that illustrate the hidden ways in which women are forgotten, and the profound impact this has on us all.
Many of the services we rely on are full of oversights, biases and downright ethical nightmares. Chatbots that harass women. Sign-up forms that fail anyone who's not straight. Social media sites that send messages about dead relatives. Algorithms that put more black people behind bars. Technically Wrong takes an unflinching look at the values, processes and assumptions that lead to these problems and more.
Filled with firsthand accounts from both men and women, as well as tips for getting started, the book shows how men can partner with their female colleagues to advance women's leadership and equality by breaking ingrained gender stereotypes, overcoming unconscious biases, developing and supporting the talented women around them, and creating productive and respectful working relationships with women ― especially in a post-#MeToo world.
